About ‘Here to help u’

When the New Zealand Government announced that people must go into Alert Level 4 lockdown, several local community service providers and funders got together to develop a local-level response. ‘Here to help u’ was designed and built quickly to ensure that anyone in Hamilton needing support through COVID-19 could get it. The providers and funders offer you ‘Here to help u’ for your own personal use without any fees or charges.

We may suspend, terminate or restrict your access if you breach any of these terms. We may modify, change or update any part of the website at any time, with or without notice.

Before using ‘Here to help u’

You’ll need an active internet connection. Anyone who doesn’t have an active internet connection can request help via free phone 0800 800 405 (7am - 7pm, 7 days a week).

Privacy Policy

COVID-19 is a difficult and stressful time for many people. Some people may be anxious or feeling very vulnerable. Reaching out for help or support can be difficult. So privacy is very important to those who use ‘Here to help u’. We understand, so here’s our privacy policy. We’ve kept it separate from these T’s & C’s so that it is quick to find when you’re on our website.

Disclaimer

You agree that your use of the website is at your sole risk. ‘Here to help u’ is not a substitute for COVID-19 health, emergency, crisis or long-term support. You should seek the advice of a qualified healthcare professional if you have any questions regarding your health or your symptoms at any time. COVID-19 medical contacts can be found here.

The partners and funders who developed this site do not guarantee the timeliness, completeness or performance of ‘Here to help u’ or any of its content. Requests for help, submitted through the online form on the website, are sent to a secure email address. These are not monitored 24/7. We’ll do everything we can to respond to requests within 24 hours and provide a caring experience and the right support to you. We can’t take responsibility for the website not working properly or if you don’t have access to the internet. The free phone number (0800 435 782, operating 9 am - 5 pm, 7 days a week) is an alternative way to contact ‘Here to help u’.

Any links to other websites or listing of community service providers is not an endorsement or recommendation from the partners and funders who developed ‘Here to help u’.

If you choose not to identify yourself, provide inaccurate or incomplete information to register for help, we will be unable to respond to you appropriately to provide you with the support or services you need during COVID-19. When using the site to offer your or your organisation’s help as part of the community-level response to COVID-19, if you choose not to identify yourself, provide inaccurate or incomplete information, we will be unable to respond to you appropriately.

You agree to use the website in a way that does not infringe upon the copyright, moral rights, publicity rights, privacy rights or any other right of any person, or violate any law or judicial or governmental order.

Governing law

This website is governed by New Zealand law, and the courts of New Zealand have exclusive jurisdiction.

The website may not comply with laws of countries outside of New Zealand. If you access this website from another country it is your responsibility to comply with the laws of that country.
